The Possibility Curve

Since I’ve sent off the final version of my screenplay to Sundance it has felt a little like post-partum blues. I miss the deadlines, as well as, the creative inspiration and flow that I felt everyday for the last few months.It has allowed me to put that creative energy back into other projects that I love like, The Hummingbird Project. I must admit that my ‘old’ personality was fairly driven so it has been an interesting time for me as I practice letting go.There is a fine balance between leading and driving a project. As it turns out I’m actually more comfortable releasing control. As I reflect I’ve learned that I drove projects because that is what ‘others’ believed was necessary.It has been a fabulous process of self-discovery to learn that I much prefer watching the project unfold according to it’s own design, life and timing. Yet that requires TRUST. Surprisingly, I’m grown comfortable with trusting.If you haven’t tried it yourself… I highly recommended it. Life is much more fun this way.
